Operation Freedom Bird

OFB, a non-profit, provides a therapeutic program for AZ combat veterans healing from PTS and unresolved grief/loss. Yearly since 1988 approx 50 veterans are selected for a four-day Healing Journey to Washington, D.C. Participants selected by counselors throughout AZ visit war memorials, attend events and conduct evening therapy. OFB Board and Staff volunteer with overhead of 3.5%. 96.5% of donation dollars go directly to the Healing Journey.

Open Hands Outreach Program for Veterans

Service Area Specifics:   Pinal County
Open Hands Outreach (OHOP) serves veterans living in Pinal County. OHOP programs include counseling by certified counselors who are also Veterans; re-entry and recovery groups for men & women veterans; a spouse support group and volunteers ready to assist Veterans to apply for benefits earned and services needed.

Operation Chillout

Operation Delta Dog

Service Area Specifics:   Serves northeastern Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire.
Working with experienced trainers and positive-reinforcement methods, Operation Delta Dog rescues homeless dogs from Massachusetts shelters and breed-rescue groups and train them to work as service dogs for local Veterans who are suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress and Traumatic Brain Injury. The cornerstone of the Operation Interdependence (OI) Civilian-to-Military Delivery System® is the Civilian Ration® (called C-rat ®). Designed for delivery to the front lines, C-rats are individual quart-sized O.I. Letter-page-001 baggies that contain a personal note from a caring civilian at home and a few items such as snacks, games, and personal care products. The most important part of the C-rat is the letter from a person who has never met that Soldier, Sailor, Marine or Airman, but takes the time to write his or her expressions of care and concern. Operation Interdependence supports up to 20,000 deployed every month and OI is 100% volunteer, no one gets a salary.

Operation Supply Drop (OSD)

Operation Supply Drop (OSD) assembles care packages which are sent to U.S. and other allied nation's Veterans deployed overseas as well as to those in hospitals or to military installations across the world.
